Rowley CC head PGA professional Brent Balderston and General Manager Darin Chin-Aleong played 99 holes of golf in a shade over 8 hours on August 14.
The two pros teed off at 6 a.m. in this fundraising effort, with all proceeds buying Thanksgiving dinners that will be donated to North Shore food pantries. Distributing the meals will be Rowley Food Pantry, Open Door/Ipswich Food Pantry and The Acorn Food Pantry in Hamilton-Wenham.
It was a huge success. Hundreds of club members and non-members made donations. This has become a hugely successful annual event. Donations were still coming in as North Shore Golf went to press. (If you’d like to make a donation, call the pro shop at
978-948-2731.)
Balderston and Chin-Aleong gave special thanks to Kyle Peters, Jeff Doyle and Neil Sullivan for caddieing and chauffeuring them around during the day. They also offered thanks to golfers who let them play through during the day.
