Winthrop wins War on the Shore 2

The second annual War on the Shore competition between members of Winthrop GC and defending champ Kelley Greens GC took place May 18-19. Winthrop captured the title 299-232, using a Ryder Cup points format. The Nahant course hosted the first round on Saturday, and Winthrop took a 146-120 point lead. Round 2 took place at Winthrop, and again, Winthrop came out on top, 153-112. Each team had 28 players. 

Despite the weather there were a good number of people at the tournament at the Winthrop Golf Course on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
