Attention junior golfers: Low-cost memberships and greens fees are available at Lynnfield’s town-owned golf courses.
Donnie Lyons, starting his 21st year as Director of Golf at Reedy Meadow and King Rail Reserve, said a 7-day junior membership is $199 for the season. The only restriction is those 17 years and younger must wait until noon on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays to tee off.
This special junior membership is limited to 75 golfers.
Lyons said Town Administrator Robert Dolan also enthusiastically supported a reduction in the green fees for junior non-members. “Kids can play for a dollar a hole, $9 or $18. Reedy Meadow is the perfect place for kids – and adults just starting out – to learn and improve their game.
“We are very kid-friendly at both of our courses.”
